We start the route from the Almeria town of Gàdor. We cross the Andarax River and turn left passing through La Torre until we reach the meander of the Calderona where we begin to climb leaving down the town of Santa Fe de Mondújar. We go up to La Cruz and cross the train track through Los Cerros.
We enter the Rambla del Gérgal where rolling around it is sometimes heavy and difficult with so much accumulated sand. We arrive quilometros up to the Cortijos del Romero where we have already left the rambla.
We cross the train track again through the old stop of Fuente Santa. We continue climbing, with beautiful views of the Tabernas Desert, towards the Cerro del Yesón Alto of 662 masl. This is undoubtedly the most beautiful point of the route for its colors and scenery of the Tabernas Desert.
We go down to the Majada de Carrizalejo, and continue forward to divert ourselves for a moment and photograph ourselves next to the evil called Conan Tree, from the movie “Conan, the Barbarian”. Tree that has become famous for a hoax since that tree was never placed here. It is believed that it was in the mountains of Cabo de Gata or Sierra Alhamilla. In any case, this tree is of props and if it corresponds to the filming of the movie ‘The tree of the penitent’ (José María Borrell, 1999).
We advance along the Rambla del Lanujar and then join the Rambla de Tabernas. That already accompanies us of descent, but not for that reason a comfortable filming, towards our end of route.
We deviate and leave the promenade in the Cortijo del Filón since we get tired of it and try to shorten towards the Cortijo de las Piedras and from there we close the route to the town of Gádor where we started it.
