We start the route from the Hotel Molino del Arco, which is a typical Andalusian farmhouse from the beginning of the 18th century and is located 13 km from the center of Ronda.
We started pedaling towards Ronda along the Smuggler’s Way towards the Fuente de la Higuera. And then towards the Cebadero where we take the Via Serrana route, which is the Jacobean Route from Campo de Gibraltar, through the old Cañada Real de Ronda to Seville and which, on reaching Seville, becomes the Vía de la Plata.
Later we had to take the GR-249. Stage 24: Ronda – Benaoján Station. And that we will continue until we reach Ronda. Stopping at the magnificent postcard views of the Mirador de la Hoya del Tajo. With the typical views of the Tagus Bridge over the Tagus River.
We follow the GR-249 and enter Ronda passing over the Puente del Tajo and we visit and enjoy the views of the viewpoints of the Parador de Ronda.
Upon leaving we pass by the Plaza de Toros de Ronda where there is a statue, Toro Monument, of an impressive specimen.
We leave Ronda towards the fairground and there we take the GR 243. Sierra de las Nieves. Stage 1: Ronda – El Burgo, GR-249. Stage 23: El Burgo – Ronda.
When we arrive at the intersection of the Cordel del Camino de los Pescadores we take it towards the Cortijo de Don Gaspar. We continue parallel to the train track passing by the Manantial de la Ventilla and later we cross the GR 7 – From Andorra to Tarifa and the Guadalcobacín River. We continue together with the train track to Cerro de los Añejales. Where we turn to our starting point pedaling through the Cordel del Puerto del Quejigal to Puerto del Monte to the Cortijo de la Tormentilla.
The final section is going up to the Sierra de las Cumbres and down the Venta de los Frontons to our starting point.
