We moved north to make a mountainbike outing from Corralejo. And more specifically from the store Fuerteventura Rent a Bike, where we rent bikes.
We value the wind direction for both the outbound and the return and decided to go inland and back along the coast. We left parallel to the FV-01 to the slopes of the Combrillo and from there to Lajares parallel to the FV-109 by trails and its abandoned bike lane.
From Lajares we left the old road with no traffic to the Casa de la Costilla, now in ruins, and we arrived by track to El Roque and El Cotillo.
We go to see the Cotillo Castle and its beautiful beach, and then cross the town and go by tracks and trails to Punta de la Ballena or Toston and see its characteristic red and white lighthouse.
Follow us east direction by track and footpath crossing all the coves of the north until Majanicho, old town of fishermen. We go ahead and make a stop at the beach of Punta Lala, also known as Popcorn Beach, for its characteristic sand in the shape of popcorn.
And we closed the route back to Corralejo passing through its port and its streets.
