Alcalá Hills Natural Park

Describing this route is really difficult because everything takes place within the park and there are hundreds of paths. But one thing I can tell you. Although it is an urban route (close to a large population or around the Corredor de Henares. Fun is guaranteed by the number of trails between the hills and the ravines. So, you will never get lost if you do not lose the NSEO references … And if you do it on the next hill you will find yourself immediately, so you can ride without repeating the road for more than 50 km.

We left the car park enabled for the Natural Park of Alcalá Hills. I recommend getting up early because it fills up early … but there is still parking nearby.
Our first objective was the Green Gate, one of the entrances to the park. And this short journey already helped us to see what the Park is and what the day was going to do. Pure fun!

Through the outer cordon we arrive at Alto del Los Reventones. To go down the Barranco Salogre Pathway and go up the Alto Del Burro Pathway to Portillo de Anchuelo. From there we take the Cerro Colorado Trail. But I have to tell you that we had to do the last section pushing the bike.

We go down the trails to get into El Tubo Pathway. Which takes us to the Zarza Ravine Pathway. Where we will return almost to Portillo de Anchuelo to take the most fun and longest path of the day. The Los Lagartos Pathway that takes us to the Camino del Retén where we cry out to look for the trail of Los Cortados del Rio Henares. Be careful with the falls, but the scenery is beautiful!

We finally opted to go back along the Camino de la Alvega towards our entry point … but if you feel like it, you can spend a few more hours going up and down trails.
