We started the route from the center of Villarejo de Salvanés. Right from the foot of the Torre del Homenaje, the only thing that remains standing is the Castle of Villarejo de Salvanés. And we left passing the A-3 over the bridge of the M-404. We entered the field through the Vereda de San José to quickly separate and go down to the Cañada de Don Juan, entering the Pinar del Monte de la Encomienda Mayor de Castilla.
We reached the M-319 road and started to climb towards Belmonte de Tajo to border the Casa del Monte de la Encomienda estate, which is a private area. We leave the little-traveled road to turn left along the tracks that take us to Belmonte via La Higuerita.
At the exit of Belmonte we go to its pine forests to do the Senda de Los Pinos on the sides of the Arroyo de la Veguilla. Then we will look for the Camino de la Magdalena to begin the descent, in some technical sections through the loose stone, in the area of Valdelafuente and that leads us to Valdelaguna.
Now we have to recover all the height lost along the paths of the Arroyo Cañada de Valmayor and that lead us to the (abandoned) open-cast gypsum mine. Now we only have to go find the Camino del Mojón del Rey to pass under the A-3 and return to Villarejo de Salvanés.
