We started from the parking lot of Les Cases d’Irati in Ochagavía, Navarra. With the intention of visiting La Selva de Irati at the time of the fall of the blade. Where everything is dyed in autumn colors.
And it is not for less. Since the Selva de Irati is the second largest and best preserved beech forest in Europe, after the Black Forest of Germany.
And we start the trail on the GR-T9 path in the North direction to the Cascada del Cubo. A little further on, we started the climb towards Lizardoia through the Sender between the forest of the Irati Forest. We arrived after the strong rise to Lizardoia viewpoint of 1,198 meters above sea level.
We continue on our way down the Kontrasario to the Ugazagia Race track and already bordering on France, we reach the border Muga 225 and the Bridge of Question on the Egurgoa river.
We closed the circuit through the GR-11 bordering the Irabia reservoir. When we arrive at the Forest House of the reservoir, we take the SL-NA 63A Zabaleta Forest Trail that takes us to the parking lot of the Cases de Irati.
