This time we leave from the village of Alaró to do a route through the Serra de la Tramuntana on its southern slope. We start the walk along the paved track of the Camí de sa Font de ses Artigues. And once we reach the pond of de Font de ses Artigues, we continue up the same track but now it is called Camí de s’Estret because it passes through the cave of s’Estret. At La Rota des Metge, the track becomes a path that continues to climb and we soon reach Pas de s’Escaleta (556 meters above sea level). Easily identifiable by its stone staircase.
We follow the path up until we reach Ses Tosses. At this point we turn right onto an unmarked path. Rather it is almost unbranded but can go everywhere and everywhere we find milestones. We continue careening to the Puig de Can LLenderina (775 meters above sea level) but before that we stop in front of two crosses and contemplate the views among the fog of the town of Orient.
We continue following the landmarks to the track of the Camino del Pouet where there is the car park for those who want to walk a little to go up to the Castle of Alaró. We follow him. This is the Camino de Oriente to Alaró Castle. This is a perfectly cobbled staircase to climb comfortably.
We enter Alaró Castle through its Tribute Tower. We contemplate it and also the views, which the clouds leave us.
We go down we go out by the same tower and taking the direct one. Marked by the GR-221 Dry Stone Route. That accompanies and cuts the road of the Camí des Verger and that takes us back to the village of Alaró.
