We start from the granite village of Moimenta in the Montesinho Natural Park. It is a perfectly signposted route PR-7 Trilho da Calçada – Montesinho Natural Park. You can have all the info in his post.
Moimenta is the starting and finishing point of our circular route. The route runs between one side and the other of the Tuela River. The first section is a trail that takes us to the top of a hill where a viewpoint is installed that opens the horizons to land of Spain. Then we continue along a hillside of rocks and boulders that leads us to the Couço bridge over the Tuela River (road crossing).
On the other side of the river, we find a good population of oak and chestnut trees. And further on, the Puente d’Às Vinhas, which allows a new crossing over the Tuela River, stands out for its medieval antiquity, then chronologically harmonized with the paving of small stones and large granite slabs that, uphill, indicate the path back to Moimenta.
