We start the route in the Teruel town of Albarracín, which is proposed by Unesco to be declared a World Heritage Site for the beauty and importance of its historical heritage. Now it is already declared as one of the Most Beautiful Villages in Spain. And is not for less!
We leave taking the VF-TE-05 road, also known as the Canto road, heading towards Corral del Santo and bordering the Protected Landscape of Pinares del Rodeno and following the steps of the Camino del Cid for Cycling.
When we arrived at the Caseta de la Losilla Baja we already owed ourselves on the track and here we really started mountain biking. We go towards the Masada de la Losilla and we roll gaining height through the Barranco de la Caleta with views of the Majadal de las Ortigas.
To foolishness we have climbed El Losar at 1464 masl. But we still had the final attack to which we arrived just after, and elevation of the day, which is La Peña de Escopeta of 1519 masl. Now we would begin a descent, more or less, towards the Barranco de las Colmenas where we would already begin to turn to wiggle Los Pinares de Rodeno.
We go through the Obago de la Ventana towards the Barranco del Valle de Bezas. We pass near the Cerro Murillo and we have reached the Paridera del Tio Gato where we will return by the marks of the Camino del Cid for BTT, GR-160 / PR-TE1, towards Albarracin.
(Route performed in July 2016).
