We start the MTB route from the Las Cuestas Urbanization and descend to Villanueva del Pardillo along the Los Palacios Stream. From there, we cross the M-503 under one of its underpasses and ride along the Camino de Venereos with the goal of crossing the Aulencia River, though this is quite complicated due to its high water level. So, we backtrack and look for an alternative, crossing the Aulencia River via the old Villanueva del Pardillo to Cañada road.
We take the Vereda de la Espemada towards Villanueva de la Cañada, which we skirt around to head toward Quijorna along the Camino del Cerro Lobo until reaching the Cañada Real Segoviana, which guides us all the way to Quijorna.
Then we continue along the Camino de Brunete, taking a left onto the Camino de Quijorna to the Villafranca Castle. We pass through Villanueva de la Cañada again and head out via the Camino del Olivar del Veliso, visiting the Rosales Fort Bunker.
We continue along the Camino del Olivar de Benito toward Villafranca Castle and then pass by the European Space Agency facilities. From this point to Villafranca del Castillo, we wanted to go via the Camino del Castillo to the Venta, but with a wild boar hunt underway, we chose to go by road, which has very little traffic on holidays.
From Villafranca del Castillo to Villanueva de la Cañada, we take the trails along the Los Palacios Stream, passing by the Virgen del Soto Hermitage, then climb up to Las Cuestas along the roadside, which is currently under construction.
