We start easily on the track of Santa Coloma and the descent of Mas Montserrat (Vegetalia) where we stop to browse the unknown Gorg del Til·lers, cross torrent Mare de Déu and up to find the track that goes from Castellterçol to Collsupina: Casa del Guarda , Casanova del Verdaguer, plans for La Tuta … We leave it on the slightly closed path that goes down to the Torrent Mal where the fun begins, we have to cross it and go down happily …
Second trail of the day: the Toll Caves going up the Torrent Mal and crossing it several times, relatively easy under normal conditions, a little more fucked up today that is muddy by the water of yesterday and the previous days. We pass the Toll (services and guided tours according to schedule) and continue up this beautiful and long path where three steep climbs will dismount from the bike to all or almost all pedalers, including electrified.
Laughing, laughing, torrent Gomar up, we go to the Pedros, Camí Ral and Collsuspina where we can have a soft drink or fork breakfast in its two bars full of cyclists and motorcyclists of all kinds.
We continue up without secret by cement towards Sant Cugat de Gavadons by the direct route of Oller and Nualard, Bellver and the hermitage. Views of Tagamanent, Calma, Montseny, Cabrera, Plana de Vic, Puigsacalm, Canigó, Puigmal … Impressive if the day is clear.
Corriolet first, track after and a good bit further down begins the fun (if you like trial races) that very wet as it was today can be crossed by slippery.
Complicated point to cross under the road, varied and fun trails, vegetation tunnels, marls, slides, ripples, torrents, forest and fields …
A non-cyclable and avoidable kaffir climb by obvious alternative path takes us to the bauma or Ossos cave, so we go there even if we have to pull the bike before and after the damn balma … And then keep going up to La Pollosa with an insurmountable step.
It is four or five kilometers uphill but it looks like many more, up to the pollosa (Collsuspina), specifically to the La Collada ravine where we could take the main track of Santa Coloma.
We love the cheerful, wooded, fun and fast descent of the Soler torrent, which also offers us a photo of the Soler and Pou Cavaller ponds.
Without further ado we go through the ruins of La Tuna, Ca l’Antoja and up to return to Castellcir.
ATTENTION:
After Sant Cugat de Gavadons and towards La Pollosa this route has difficult sections and some dangerous points, especially if it is wet and slippery. There are also some good non-cycling killer climbs. The rest, apart from these easily avoidable stretches, has beautiful, pleasant paths and trails and a safe technical point. Avoid doing it if it is very humid in the middle of winter or after rain.
