We start this route from A Guarda, Pontevedra. More specifically from O Marouco.
We go down through the Parish of Sant Lorenzo de Salcidos and follow the PR-G160 Desembocadura do Miño, going down to the wetlands of A Ribera de Junqueira. We enjoyed the surroundings and the bird viewpoints that are there.
Already in the Miño River we walk parallel to the mouth passing by the Sta. Tegra campsite.
As we advance through the mouth we pass through Fondo do Duque, O Palomar, Praia o Codesal, Praia Armona, Preaia A. Lamiña and Praia O Muiño where we turn left passing through Muíño, leaving the PR-G160 and beginning to go up to Santa Tecla.
In no time we join the paths of the Camiño do Santa Trega, and more specifically with the PR-G122.5 CAMIÑO DO CARRO E DA CRUZ DO HOME, passing through the A Pedra Furada viewpoint and from there directly to the top of the Santa Tecla mountain.
We go down the Castro de Santa Trega and descend to A Guarda along the path PR-G122.2 ATALLO VELLO. And from there to our starting point of the route
