Las Cuestas and its Coladas

We start the route from the Las Cuestas Urbanization and descend along the Arroyo del Membrillo trail until we reach the intersection with the Colada del Cerro del Burro, also known as the Mina de Antigua Pilar trail, as it passes through it. We follow it entirely until we reach the end, where we come across the Colada del Camino del Pardillo, which we begin to descend.

A bit of culture. The term colada, when applied to pathways, originates from the context of transhumance and the management of livestock routes in Spain.

Continuing with the description of the route, I must say that I particularly enjoy this descent along the Colada del Pardillo. Afterward, we make a stop at the Collada to ascend to Madroñal, standing at 846 meters above sea level. Then, we descend again to the Colada del Pardillo to take the trail back up to Las Cuestas through the Arroyo del Membrillo.
