We do this route because our house that we have rented is in Calhetas and that PR 01 SMI ends here. We do it back and forth, but unlike how the itinerary is indicated.
We left passing by Burraco de São Pedro and Ponta das Calhetas. We cross the village of Fenais da Luz, follow the Ponta dos Fenais to the viewpoint of Porto dos Poços where you can see the natural pools.
We return by the same path to the house where we enjoy the rest while doing some stretching.
Easy and fast route!
