We start the route from the Collado de La Cruz at 339 meters above sea level. And from a good start, you begin to climb towards the Morro del Palmeral along the PR-MU 115 Sendero del Agua de Perín. This section is a constant up and down that takes us to the Morra de la Yesera, from where we can already see, although in the shade as it is in the morning, the majestic walls of the Peñas Blancas of 629 meters above sea level. The highest point of Cartagena.
We continue along the old path passing under the walls of the Peñas Blancas until we reach the southern point of the Peñas Blancas, right at its end. A precise hill where you can see the Bay of Mazarrón.
We keep going. Now there is a steep descent down the mining slope. We are facing the largest iron mines in the Region of Murcia. A precise place worth exploring where there are many disused mines open to explore, but today is not the time. We continue forward using part of its paths, but in the direction of the Rambla del Cañar.
Already in the rambla, the technical difficulty disappears. We just all follow it up until we reach Collado de la Cruz where we have started it and we have left the cars.
