Vall d´Aran day 1 – Banhs de Tredòs

We go down from Baqueira where we have the apartment to Tredòs by a cobblestone road and right of the Ressec bridge and just before the town we go up the right path towards the asphalted and very busy track towards Baños de Tredòs. We go up the Aiguamòg valley by asphalt with views of the Montardo until we reach the car park.

We lined up the track towards the Pretiu dera Montanheta. At the end of the valley, the route of the taxis ends on the path to the Colomers refuge, where the tranquility and the strong and sunny ascent begin. We go up the left of the Aiguamòg valley in almost 2 kilometers until the track softens and the View opens up to Beret, the Marimanha, Alt Aran …….

We go down by fast track to Prüedo and take the water road (flat) towards Montcasau. The last 400m are by trail NOT cycleable but it is worth climbing the lake by dragging the bike or leaving it here for a moment.
From the lake (dam) of Montcasau we decided to go down the GR and it is a non-cycleable inferno of one Km and 150m of altitude that can be avoided by going back where we came from. We go down to the crossroads and we have to climb again 150m uneven until we return to Prüedo where we resume the flat path of the water down.

Less than 2 kilometers and we will be on a beautiful, flat and aerial trail with two tunnels, they are quite short and cycloblasts that can be done without light. To go down to Salardú we find some technical section and we connect with the descents of Enduromies, by the holes of Mont Romies, where we can choose descents with different difficulties all precious and well arranged.

We stop to eat something in Salardu and go back to Tredòs to rediscover the right and cobbled path that ends up getting us back to Baqueira.
