We started the route from Becerril de la Sierra. We have chosen this area because it is quiet and we shot with the intention of stepping on snow … but not without major complications either.
Immediately we leave the town to go through the Cercados de la Calzada until we cross the Arroyo de las Chorreras. Where we had to turn right to roll along the small path next to the Escorial road, the M-623 towards the El Berrocal-El Retamar roundabout.
We leave by track to cross the Navacerrada River over a small and improvised bridge and continue along the Dehesa de la Villa until we cross the M-608 road, the Cerceda-Moralzarzal road.
We continue through the Cañada Real Segoviana, and then turn off through the Chaparral de la Mina and following the course of the Navacerrada River we should perimeter the Prado Boyero and then return to the Cañada Real Segoviana.
We cross the M-607 and continue along the Cañada until it turns left and we keep going along the Cordel Fuente las Liebres.
Then we leave it too, with a left turn to go down Cordel de San Samburriel and Navalcollados, which between track and trails takes us to the Santillana Reservoir, also known as Manzanares el Real Reservoir.
We lightly touched Manzanares el Real and left through the Colada de Mataelpino. Passing through the Puerta de La Pedriza and the Hermitage of San Isidro. And we continue pouring up to the town of Mataelpino.
We take the M-617 road along the side path to the roundabout of the Vista Real Urbanization. Then we continue along the Camino del Dedo, GR-10. Section where we can step nine until we reach the port where we cross the M-617 again to reach the Collado de las Cabezas, 1,201 masl and see the Navacerrada Reservoir.
We roll a piece along its path until we reach its dam and go down directly to the town of Becerril de la Sierra. Our starting point.
